Most free tools run entirely in your browser: the numbers and text you enter are not sent to us. Some tools save your progress in your own browser so you can come back to it; clearing your browser data removes it. A few tools look things up in public databases, and each is marked on its page: the citation generator and reference checker query Crossref, and the PubMed search tools query the US National Library of Medicine. Only the search terms, DOIs or references you enter are sent to those services.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores a few items in your browser: your light or dark theme choice, your saved free-tool progress, and, if you sign in, the session that keeps you logged in. The live chat window, provided by Tawk.to, sets its own cookies so that a conversation continues if you move between pages or come back later.
We share data only with the providers that run the service, each for its own part of the work:
Our specialists and quality reviewers see the files and details of the projects they work on, under a duty of confidentiality. We share data with anyone else only if the law requires it. These providers may store and process data outside your country, including in the United States.
Connections to the site are encrypted, every account has its own access controls, and our team and specialists must use two-factor authentication. Clients can turn on two-factor authentication in their dashboard settings. No system is perfectly secure, so please remove personal health information and other sensitive personal data from files unless we have agreed how it will be handled.
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy or stop using it for updates. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), the law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Email info@timelyscholar.com and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to keep payment records for the periods above even after you ask us to delete your account.
Our services are for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
We will post any changes on this page with a new effective date, and email clients with an account about significant changes.
